REQUIREMENT: Inshore and Offshore Technical Advisors to the Solomon Islands Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources.

 

The New Zealand Aid Programme, acting for and on behalf of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), are calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced consultants (individuals or organisations) to support the on-going Mekem Strong Solomon Islands Fisheries (MSSIF) Programme within the Solomon Islands Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR).

We are seeking two technical advisors, an Inshore Fisheries Advisor (IFA) and an Offshore Fisheries Advisor (OFA) to provide technical advice, capacity development, institutional strengthening, and systems improvement.

This technical advisor position(s) is a part time position funded for a period of up to 2 years during which an agreed mix of in-country and remote support will be provided.

This EOI is the first stage of a two stage selection process. Following the EOI deadline an evaluation panel will shortlist a selected number of respondents to participate in stage two.

Respondents to this EOI must clearly demonstrate their ability to meet our criteria (including timeframes and experience) refer to section 2 ‘Evaluation of Responses’ and the Terms of Reference for further guidance.
