Two (2) Year Appointment with Potential for Extension
Applications are invited for a 2‐year Postdoctoral fellowship in quantitative fish stock assessment funded through the Ocean Frontier Institute (https://oceanfrontierinstitute.com/) and based at the Centre for Fisheries Ecosystems Research (CFER; www.mi.mun.ca/cfer) of Memorial University’s (MUN) Fisheries and Marine Institute in St. John’s NL, Canada. The PDF will contribute towards a research program lead by Research Chair Dr. Noel Cadigan on spatiotemporal variation in stock productivity, and the development of spatial stock assessment models and fisheries harvest strategies.
Salary: $50,000 per year.
Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in a related discipline (e.g. quantitative fisheries science/ecology, mathematics, statistics, or computer science). Knowledge of fish stock assessment and/or fish population dynamics is an asset. Experience in integrated statistical analysis of complex data is an asset.
