[dépassé] 2012_11: Research Position on Climate Change and Natural Hazard Risk Assessment

Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) Research Unit at the Ca’ Foscari University Venice (Venice, Italy; website: http://www.unive.it/nqcontent.cfm?a_id=88009), is looking to recruit a motivated and talented Post Doc to cover an open position within the Climate Change and Natural Hazard Research Program (see the attached file).

The applicant will work within two relevant EU FP7 research projects (KULTURisk and PERSEUS) in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary research team from the University Ca’ Foscari Venice and from the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change (CMCC).
The work will be oriented to the development, application and validation of environmental risk assessment methodologies in different contexts (e.g. marine environments, river basins, coastal areas).
Particularly, the candidate will be asked to develop and apply adequate methodologies for a sound assessment and communication of climate change, natural hazards and environmental risks to
stakeholders and decision makers and will support the management and coordination of scientific activities.
